Instructions for the installation of MRTA001 Tri-Truss Woodframe Permanent Roof Anchor
This anchor is rated for use by one (1) person only.
Failure of the user to read and understand all instructions for the use of this product may result in serious injury or death.
It is recommended that the user complete an approved fall protection program before using this equipment.
All warning labels and instructions must be understood and followed by the user before using the product.
All users must understand the relevant regulations and usage standards for fall protection applicable to this product, in the jurisdiction in which it is being used.
This equipment must only be installed and used by trained and competent personnel.
All fall protection equipment should be visually inspected before each use.
This equipment should not be altered or modified in any way.
All equipment that has been subjected to a fall incident must be removed from service immediately.
The permanent roof anchor must be installed directly under the top cord of a truss adjacent to a web member as close to the peak of the truss as possible.
The permanent roof anchor should be fastened to the truss by using 3 1/2″ Ardox nails, and must have a nail in each predrilled hole. Nail through the truss plate or gang nail as necessary.
Cinch the ends of the nails over after they are fully driven into the truss. Care should be taken to ensure that the nails are driven into the solid lumber of the truss.
After the anchor bar is securely nailed in place 3 pieces of 2X6 Bridge blocking must be installed against the upright tabs on the anchor bar and the truss opposite making sure to nail it securely in place.
Failure to install the specified fasteners in all the predrilled holes will result in the permanent roof anchor not generating its full rated capacity.
It is the responsibility of the installer or end user of this anchor to ensure proper sealing of this anchor to prevent water leakage into the structure of the building on which it is installed.
